Polyoxymethylene ( POM ) is a relatively low-cost, high-strength plastic. The uses of acetal resins (name of the finished product made up of polyoxymethylenes) are particularly suitable for replacing precision metal parts, pipe fittings, parts of valves for dispensing hot and cold water. The use of these resins has advantages and disadvantages:
Advantages: When not reinforced, and in the case of homopolymers in particular, they become very rigid plastic materials, they also have good mechanical strength and hardness, as well as dimensional stability as they absorb little humidity.
Disadvantages: The most important limitation of use is the easy combustion, with the production of toxic fumes. Non-stabilised products are also attacked by UV rays.
These products are designed for water, food fluids and compressed air. They can also be used for vacuum. Other fluids following chemical compatibility.

Simple movements allow the insertion and release of the tube quickly, saving time and costs. The material is non-toxic and is approved by NSF and ACS.
Operating temperature: -20°C to 98°C (dry air 1°C to 98°C) **Please note that NSF standards only cover the temperature range from 1°C to 70°C.
System performance always depends on the fittings, tubing and possible other items and accessories used.It is the user's responsibility to cross-check the technical characteristics of the individual components in order to avoid possible losses and dangers.
